EU Light Rail Conference 2019

Sally Brinkley is speaking at this year’s EU Light Rail Conference on Developmental Competence in Light Rail.

The EU Light Rail Conference attracts some of the leading opinion-formers and decision-makers across the light rail and tramway systems industry to debate the role of technology in the development of sustainable urban travel.

Held in Brussels on 16th and 17th May, Sally Brinkley, Operations Director at AssessTech has been invited to speak on day 2 at the conference around the area of developmental competence in Light Rail alongside some of the industry leading experts, Laurent Dauby – Director, Rail Transport, UITP, Francois Bausch – Minister of Mobility and Public Works, Luxembourg Government and Peter Cushing – Chief Executive, Light Rail Safety and Standards Board.

Following a very successful roll out of ACMS to First Tram Operations, it is apparent that developmental competence management is exactly what the light rail industry needs, as drivers are the first line of defence. By identifying and correcting problems through a structured developmental competence management process, incident levels are significantly reduced and/or eliminated. This results in improved performance, reduced costs, improved visibility and confidence and reduction in incident rates.
