Freight Operator meet their carbon goals with the help of ACMS

Varamis Rail has adopted electronic competence management to manage their drivers’ competence.

The UK’s first high speed, electric freight train operator to transport large amounts of goods quickly and efficiently between logistics centres and heavily populated cities, Varamis Rail, has adopted electronic competence management to manage their drivers’ competence.

Varamis wanted to ensure that the adoption of their competence management solution would align with their business goals of being completely carbon neutral.

They were advised in their discussions with the ORR to operate a paper-based process alongside their electronic competence management process initially, but decided not to take this approach as it didn’t reflect their company values.

The Varamis management team wanted a modern, streamlined, fully automated paperless approach, providing the business with efficiencies, better process management and reporting so they could identify where the issues may lie.

The AssessTech customer service team helped Varamis throughout the implementation process to ensure they had a fully functioning system that met their requirements exactly.
